After the success of the Artemis I mission, NASA is moving forward with its ambitious program to return to the Moon with Artemis II, the first crewed mission of the Artemis program. And once again, you can take part symbolically: by sending your name around the Moon.
An invitation open to all
As part of its “Send Your Name with Artemis II” campaign, NASA is inviting people worldwide to register their names, free of charge, to be carried aboard the Orion spacecraft. The names will be stored on a memory card that will travel through space, looping around our natural satellite on this historic flight scheduled no later than April 2026.

A unique keepsake
After submitting their names, participants will receive a personalized virtual boarding pass to download and share. This symbolic gesture allows anyone to connect with space exploration and, in a way, become an intangible passenger on this mission around the Moon.

A historic mission
Artemis II will carry an international crew of four astronauts—three Americans and one Canadian—on a flight of over 230,000 miles (370,000 km), including a close flyby of the Moon. The goal: to test all of Orion’s critical systems in preparation for future missions that, in the near future, will land humans on the lunar surface—including the first woman and the first person of color.
Registration is open until January 21, 2026. No need to be an astronaut or a scientist: this opportunity is for everyone who dreams of space, exploration, and symbolically leaving their mark beyond Earth.
